About Chieti Classica
Welcome to Chieti Classica 2022
The 5th edition of the Chieti Classica International Music Festival has finally arrived, with classical music set to illuminate the wonderful city of Chieti from the 26th of July to the 11th of August.
Organised by the European Foundation for Support of Culture (EUFSC) and ArtEnsemble, with the support of the Fondazione Banco di Napoli, Prefecture of Chieti, Regione Abruzzo, Province of Chieti, Chieti Municipality, Marrucino Theatre, University Museum, and many other partners, this year’s event will have a unique format encompassing both masterclasses as well as daily evening concerts.
These masterclasses, led by some of the most acclaimed pedagogues active today, will be held every day of the festival in some of the city's most prestigious venues. Moreover, throughout the festival’s run, professors will be identifying the most accomplished students who will then be given the unique opportunity to participate in the evening concerts in front of a large audience, as well as alongside some of the Festival's most esteemed artists and teachers, as part of their educational journey.
Chieti Classica 2022 shall also be incorporating the first edition of Mozart Evenings within its remit. Consisting of a number of concerts featuring various works by the legendary Austrian composer, this event will celebrate his works and legacy in an unparalleled fashion, allowing attendees the chance to immerse themselves in his music amidst Chieti’s picturesque surroundings.
Thanks to the presence of numerous students and musicians from Italy and all over the world, Chieti will represent an international benchmark of excellence through its cultural and artistic heritage. With the support of the Artistic Director of the festival and President of ArtEnsemble, Maestro Giuliano Mazzoccante, the EUFSC and its President Konstantin Ishkhanov are honored to welcome the fifth edition of the Festival with the aim of creating a unique cultural project on a par with the largest international festivals in Europe, Asia, and America.

It is with a feeling of profound joy that I am glad to launch the 5th edition of the International Music Festival CHIETI CLASSICA, which will take place in the historic city of Chieti from the 26th of July to the 11th of August 2022.
Some of the greatest professors and performers of the international
classical music world will dedicate their art to our festival and to the
young people who will participate in our daily masterclasses and concerts.
This year we will also be introducing a new initiative – Mozart
Evenings in Chieti, a separate project taking place alongside the
festival’s main events which will be dedicated to the legacy of Mozart
and will see Chieti filled with the music of this wonderful composer.
I would like to express my gratitude to all our local and international supporters for helping us continue to make the Chieti Classica festival bigger and better than before, and especially to the European Foundation for Support of Culture, our main partners in this event.
Most of all, however, I would like to thank all of you who have come to Chieti to join us. It is your presence that makes it all worthwhile, and I eagerly look forward to welcoming all those young artists who represent the future of classical music, and who I am sure, will once again bring light and hope to arts and culture!
